New Blog Title and Postings

I have come to the realization that I need to put a little more into my blog. I already do some freelance writing and have content on several content sites like yahoo?contributor, bukisa and examiner.com. Sometimes they get a little huffy about what I write though, so I think writing everything here first will help my content there. And maybe one day, I'll have some followers:) Either way, I plan to now post Disney promotions and information.

I would love for you to read it all and comment. I'd also love for you to visit my site and book a Disney trip with me! There is nothing that I love more than planning a trip to Disney- whether for myself or others. I promise to do everything in my power to make your trip magical in every way.

So, go visit my travel agent site.....NOW!

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort Treehouse Villas

We recently stayed at the Treehouse Villas in Saratoga Springs Resort located at Walt Disney Worldin Florida. The Villas are part of the Disney Vacation  Club properties,  but may be rented by non vacation Club members. There are sixty Treehouse Villas for you to enjoy. They are all located along a route that is set back a bit from the actual resort itself.

The Villas all have three bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, living room, dining table and washer/dryer combo. This is a perfect place to "get away from it all." Each Treehouse is located back away from the road so you feel like you are all alone in the woods. It's a beautiful place to stop and unwind after a long day in the Disney parks. One of the best parts about the Treehouse is the master bathroom. The shower and bathtub area is connected so that you can step from the shower into the tub. This was a wonderful addition to the Jacuzzi tub. The shower part also had two shower heads. One was a rain-style shower head while the other was able to be removed. That worked great for washing my toddler's hair. After Disney, everyone is dirty!

In the living room, you have a pull out sofa and chair, so really three extra guests could stay out there. In total, the Treehouses are set up for nine guests. We had seven on our recent trip, which worked well. Disney is also the best at keeping a theme going in a resort and the Treehouse Villas do not disappoint in that area.

The negatives of the Treehouse Villas include the lights- they are very dark and just not enough in the rooms to light it up. Another negative was the size of the beds. Both the master and one of the guest bedrooms have only queen size beds. I would much prefer a King-size bed. You would think Disney would make sure that was an option in the Treehouse Villas.

I also did not like how low it took to get around the Walt Disney World Resort area from the Villas. We never had to wait long for a bus, but you have to get on one bus to get to the main resort area. Then, you have to transfer to yet another bus to get on the Disney park bus. The takes a good hour at least to get to a park- assuming you get right on both buses and don't have to wait.
Would I recommend the Treehouse Villas at Walt Disney World Resort? Yes, especially for larger families and if you want to really get away from the hustle and   bustle of  Walt Disney World Resort. The few downsides are more than made up for by having wonderful scenery and the peaceful surroundings.
